*rmysball said: I how and dont ask have 3 black lab females i am selling. any tips or help on how to sell them. did newspaper and flyers and not one person interested. any help would be great. thanks shannon
kn*nebirddog said: Well pedigrees with a proven hunting and trialing background espeically if the parents or grandparnets of the pups have titles helps OFA and Eyes history is another thing many in the LAb world are very concerned about.... Not sure what else to say......
*ndyJ said: Best thing to do is try to get some of the pups spoken for before the dog even whelps. For a lab you need to have the OFA certificates and any other type of certifications and pedigree if you are asking for any amount of money. If you can't show verification of the potential of the pup you can not have too big of a price on the dog. Simply saying "the Sire and Dam are great hunters..." probably won't do much good in selling them.. Andy
b*astmaster said: Where are you located ? what are you asking for the pups ? what type of labs are they ? what type of pedigree do the parents have ? have the parents been screened or certified by ofa or cerf ? what type of health warranty do you offer ? Have they been wormed and had shots and dew claws removed ? what type of registration comes with pups ?
*rmysball said: thanks for all the replies, i live in kansas and helping out a friend who's dog had 11 in the litter. the choc ones went fast! if pups wouldve been about 1 month earlier or later they would all be gone. with school starting up.
Chr*s Andrews said: It must be the time of year for selling dogs. I have 2 male Brittanys that I need to sell. They are champion pedigrees and I haven't had any leads. I had 4 people all together back out of the litter of 8. Some of the 4 back out on the same pups. I have talked to a lot of folks that are having a time moving male dogs right now. I will hang on to mine and sell them as started dog.
kn*nebirddog said: I hear what your saying...I have a few males that are out of my bullet dog who is a full brother to brave ...this wasn't one of my planned breedings picked them up because the owner of the litters wife passed away and he was having a hrad time...sold 3 from my list but the rest are waiting for my planned litter from 1x nstra picabo and AFC FC 2x AMerCh redlines tequila smoker......not much for summer litters but like you say chris start them up and about dec people are starting to look again....but Puppies are fun and the LAb pups get them doing foundation stuff they should go when it cools off and duck season is getting close
